The property was clean, the rooms were well-appointed and and maintained. I have never experienced service like that before which is why I would award it 5 Stars. The staff at Maroma couldn’t do enough to make you comfortable and accommodate any way possible. Is Secrets Maroma at that caliber? Visually no, however what I can say is the service was SECOND TO NONE. Over the years, we’ve stayed at many 5-Star resorts like Four Seasons and Ritz Carltons. After a little negotiation, we agreed to the price and were given a great room. Upon arriving, they escorted us to a private check-in where they offered us a beach front view ontop of our already booked Preferred Swimout. Even though this property was older than Moxche, I chose Maroma because I heard it had the best beach and exceptional reviews on trip advisor. Just got back last night from 5 Nights at Secrets Maroma. My husband and I had so much fun celebrating his birthday! Its pretty much everything an all inclusive resort should be. All in all, I highly recommend this place. I also would have loved the pools to be open later, but they closed at 7 pm. There were night time activities but they ended around 10. The silent party at the club was so fun, and Coco café was our go to spot daily for delicious coffee and pastries. The food was great pretty much everywhere we ate, but I will say it took a long period of time to get the food even when not busy. They were all so kind, accommodating, respectful, friendly and just happy to be there. The staff (especially Ester and Domingo) were fabulous. We are definitely considering a swim-up pool and preferred club for next time, but the other pools were great too.

The ocean was full of seaweed so we did not swim in it much, but the pools made up for it. The restroom area was my favorite! We were on the fourth floor in a ocean view room, however, the trees made it hard to actually see the ocean. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and well-stocked. The property was well kept, clean and beautiful. Upon arrival and check-in, we were greeted with friendly faces, cool towels that smelled amazing, and some champagne. My husband didn’t want to leave and I’m ready to go back.Įxcellent experience overall.

We took a private trip to Tulum ruins and to the pet cemetery Cenote and I highly recommend Magia Encanto Bobby our driver was great. We didn’t want to say goodbye to Emmanuel when it came time to leave. The staff is hardworking, friendly and really make the place special. My only complaint is we didn’t get a cool towel or drink upon arrival and check in process. The eggplant parmigiana appetizer at the Italian restaurant was excellent, I’m now craving it. It was nice to have a preferred club restaurant for breakfast, as we never went to the buffet. Preferred club lounge was great to meet other people, great service and good snacks. Bramdon at the pool helped find spots and also checked in with us, highly recommend getting to know him. My only complaint was the people putting their towels out at 7 am, not showing up until after noon and only staying a short time. Pool area was good in you could select from quite to active depending on which area you selected. I highly recommend booking in building 27 to have Emmanuel be your concierge, as your trip will be special. Emmanuel and Janet arranged special dinner to celebrate our anniversary evening and it was great! My favorite was the engraved lock with our names, date and 25 years that he gave us, so we could lock on the heart, such a personal touch.
Emmanuel made our trip special, banner on our door, arranged breakfast:coffee, fruit, and pastries every morning at 6 am (time was our request), decorated our room with a drawn bubble bath on our anniversary, arranged for extra Fanta orange so we both had our drink, and checked in with us at the pool every day. I have to give a huge shoutout to the best concierge ever Emmanuel. We selected preferred club with ocean front room and it was worth it. Clean resort, good food, and the best staff ever. We selected Secrets Maroma to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary and it didn’t disappoint.
